PMM is solely focused on its core competency: Offering its customers the highest value product at the most competitive price, utilizing our superior mix of machine tools and technical talent. Thus, we are supremely qualified to produce highly complex parts and assemblies that require a high level of accountability and performance. Several of our projects are highlighted below:

We are proud to supply parts for the Space Shuttle SRB Program. PMM supplies machined parts made from Inconel 718, Custom 455, and Maraging 250 for the SRB/ET Struts. Utilizing modern machining techniques in lieu of EDM operations, PMM provides these parts at a lower cost to our customer.

PMM supplies machined parts and assemblies in support of the 737 Next Generation family of aircraft. All components are machined from either aluminum or steel plate and all require additional assembly for final delivery. Statistical data is collected on each part to ensure the quality and consistency of every component.

PMM supplies numerous parts for the Citation family of Cessna Aircraft. These parts are made from several different materials, including aluminum, alloy steels, stainless steels, and wear-resistant nylon. We machine anything from small, intricate parts to large, complex, 5-axis aluminum hog-outs. Our knowledge and experience in various aerospace programs allows us to serve Cessna with high-quality, economical components.

The C-17 program has provided several new opportunities over the recent past. Our latest endeavors have been large, complex, 5-Axis aluminum parts. With the addition of new, high-speed CNC machinery, we are able to supply superb quality parts at less cost while fully supporting our customer's demanding production schedules.

PMM supplies two of the most complex machined parts for the Apache Longbow conversion. The parts begin as 7" x 24"x24" aluminum billet weighing over 400 pounds. The finished parts (pictured right) weigh 12 pounds each after processing. These components are machined on horizontal 4 and 5-axis CNC machining centers.

PMM has supplied machined parts for the Harpoon/SLAM Missile program for over 15 years. As the design has been improved, new manufacturing requirements have arisen. A recent upgrade, the SLAM-ER Missile, has added planar wings, extended the range, improved the munitions, and added new guidance systems. This upgrade has provided PMM with the opportunity to work side by side with Boeing/ MDC engineers to create more affordable parts. Most of these parts were originally designed to be cast aluminum, but PMM was successful in converting the parts to aluminum hog-outs.

PMM has supplied parts in support of the F/A-18 program for over 20 years. We currently supply numerous part numbers for the F/A-18 programs. Our work ranges from simple 2-axis lathe parts to complex 5-axis milling contoured parts. The part sizes range up to 90 inches in length. We have had great success in utilizing high speed machining techniques, allowing PMM to continue as one of the leading competitive suppliers for the F/A-18 E & F Super Hornet. Pictured right are machined parts for the F/A-18 Wing Pylon assemblies.

PMM is the sole source supplier of cylinder engine head assemblies to the world's largest manufacturer of general aviation piston engines. These assemblies are manufactured in 48 different configurations and many thousands are shipped annually. Cylinder engine head assemblies are flight critical and subject to FAA scrutiny. Thus, PMM is tasked with providing the highest quality product with very exacting standards and at relatively high volumes.
